This milestone project demonstrates how modern hybrid solar technology can perfectly balance high electricity demands, reduce carbon footprints, and ensure 100% power reliability in regions with abundant sunshine but complex grid environments.
Project Background & Challenges
Jerusalem enjoys over 300 days of sunshine a year, making it an ideal location for solar energy generation. However, local commercial facilities face two primary energy challenges:
- High Peak Utility Tariffs: Electricity rates spike during daytime operational hours and early evenings, heavily inflating operational costs (OPEX).
- Grid Instability & Micro-Outages: Brief but unpredictable power fluctuations can disrupt sensitive commercial equipment, leading to data loss and operational downtime.

Step 1: Daytime Harvest
From morning to afternoon, the rooftop PV Plant captures abundant Jerusalem sunlight and converts it into free electricity to power the facility directly.
Step 2: Smart Storage
When the solar panels generate more power than the building is currently using, the SIY SOLAR 1075kWh Battery System safely stores the excess energy instead of wasting it.
Step 3: Peak Shaving & Backup
During evening hours when grid electricity prices skyrocket, the system automatically discharges the stored solar power (Peak Shaving). If the city grid fails, the system provides <10ms instant backup power, ensuring zero downtime.
